Product Step-by-Step

Onboarding

1.1 Rationale

As GeTS is not the originator of payments, financing or insurance products (As of 31/10/19), CALISTA Finance acts as an open neutral platform that integrates the services of its financial partners. These partners range from fintech companies to financial institutions such as banks.

Each individual partner has its own KYC/KYB (Know-your-customer/Know-your-business) process in order to authorise the CALISTA user to use their corresponding services on CALISTA Finance. For example, if the CALISTA User wishes to use our payment provider to perform a cross-border payment transaction, our payment provider must ascertain that the company the CALISTA User is representing is reputable and can be trusted.

As it is, onboarding of the CALISTA User by each individual partner is done off-line and at an ad-hoc basis. This results in a one-to-one onboarding, where each partner must manually onboard the CALISTA User as and when the CALISTA User uses their services for the first time. CALISTA Finance wants to optimize this process by having each CALISTA User onboard themselves into CALISTA and CALISTA will perform a one-to-all onboarding for all partners.
